Dieser Leitfaden führt in die Grundbegriffe und Grundsätze des Vermögensrechts der katholischen Kirche ein, greift häufiger vorkommende Probleme auf, markiert die Verbindungen zum staatlichen Recht und gibt speziell in der Rechtsanwendung Orientierung. Er dient der Unterstützung jener, die innerkirchlich mit der Vermögensgebarung befasst sind (in Pfarreien, Diözesen, Klöstern etc.) als auch der Fachleute der Wirtschaft und des Rechts sowie für potentielle Geschäftspartner der Kirche, wie Banken und Versicherungen. Die Darstellung berücksichtigt das rechtliche Umfeld der katholischen Kirche in Österreich wie in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland und greift auch neueste, bislang nicht bearbeitete Fragen auf, wie etwa die Rechtsnachfolge nach aufgehobenen Klöstern bzw.
