Résumé:Social media as a tool for religious propaganda · This paper aims to analyze some of the technological biases that illegitimately compress the exercise of freedom of religious propaganda online. Indeed, social media policies and their algorithms are likely to undermine the fundamental right to persuade and be persuaded through the dissemination of religious thought. After a brief framing of the freedom of religious propaganda in the Italian legal system, the study focuses on the main critical issues to which it is exposed when exercised online. Concluding remarks are addressed to the novelties introduced on the protection of fundamental rights online by the Digital Services Act.
