Cárcel Ortí published the reports of the Visitation that the Holy See did to the Spanish Seminaries in 1934. They reflect the point of view of the three Visitors. Among these reports is the one done on Comillas which is here placed in its own context, published, annotated and commented. En septiembre de 2006 el Papa desclasificó los fondos del archivo Vaticano correspondientes al pontificado de Pío XI (1922-1939). Tres meses después, V. Cárcel Ortí publicaba los Informes de la Visita que la Santa Sede hizo a los Seminarios españoles en 1934. Refleja cómo los vieron los tres Visitadores.
