Description
Summary:These past two years, at least three or four diocesan personnel sought canonical advice for the erection of a diocesan right religious institute. In some cases there were three or four persons; in others, one person. Two consisted of persons who had departed from a canonical religious institute. Many diocesan bishops seem lost as to how to address such requests. The bishops do not want to discourage them; on the other hand, the bishops realize that they would be assuming serious responsibilities in undertaking such a process.
