Description
Summary:Starting in 1555 and 1648 and up to 1806, the Protestant territorial churches in Germany received their legitimation from the »Augsburg Confession.« The difference between the original version of 1530 and the »Variata« of 1540 played a vital role, since the Protestant Reformed Churches were oriented toward the latter, as were the United Churches in the 19th and the 20th centuries.
