| Whakarāpopototanga: | This contribution expresses in a synthetic manner a conference given to the person- nel of diocesan curiae, on the topic of the bishop's competences with respet to the honest sustenance of the clergy (can. 384: priests, and also bishops). Theftrst part of the article, having a wider perspective, illustrates in detail the current norms in Italy and highlights on one side the relationship and the indications of the universal Church, and on the other side problems for their application (particularly as regards the choices entrusted to the bishop). In the second part, a synthetic presenation of the diocesan institute for the sustenance of the clergy is offered, together with specifications on ist nature and the due obligations of the bishop in ist respect. |
