The article examines the evolution of the conception of the government's function in the Church from the Scriptural sources to the current law, highlighting how the diaconal structure of the ministerium is not fully respected by the authoritarian approach of the potestas iurisdictionis and it is suggested to resort to the paradigm of mildness to juridically translate the exercise of the government's function into forms of authentic service. | ||
