Riepilogo:The short note takes into consideration the issue of subsidiary churches, which originated in past times in great numbers. Today, a mentality directed more at highlighting the rigorous functionality of a place e of worship to the worship needs of a parish community, risks belittling the value of subsidiary churches, at times destined to a gradual abandonmen, till they are dismissed and alienated. Such prospective becomes more concrete especially in those situations where there is taking place a radical rethinking of the Church in the territory through the. reorganization of the parish network. The note highlights how the Code . and the liturgical texts assume the existence of subsidiary churches, both for particular liturgical celebrations, as well as for liturgical and pastoral services to be offered to groups or different particular communities of the faithful. The author, in the light of what the Code prescribes with respect to Rectories, asks whether in fact it would be useful to elaborate, for subsidiary churches, a true and proper statute, or at least a specific decree by the bishop, which guarantees in time the existence and the destination to cult and especially outlines an identity, also juridically relevant, that would help the authorities and the faithful to make all that is possible to avoid their dismissal or alienation.
