| Sumario: | The mainstream cultural trend also affects the mentality of the Catholic faithful; thus it is easy to confuse "synodality" with "democratic" decisions taken by majorities even in doctrinal and ethical fields. It is not like that! To avoid confusion, some canonical clarifications are therefore necessary, based on fundamental ecclesiological distinctions, such as that between the Synod of Bishops and the Ecumenical Council. This is the only way to open up "new roads" that can be travelled, new ways of exercising ecclesial power, which will truly favour the concrete realisation of new ways of meeting and "being Church" in the contemporary world. Il trend culturale dei mainstream o delle opinioni dominanti incide anche sulla mentalita dei fedeli cattolici; cost e facile confondere "sinodalita" con ''democraticita" di decisioni prese a colpi di maggioranze anche in campi dottrinali ed etici. Non e cosi! Per evitare confusioni sono percio necessarie alcune precisazioni canonistiche, basate su distinzioni ecclesiologiche fondamentali, come ad esempio quella fra Sinodo dei Vescovi e Concilio Ecumenico. Solo cosi si possono aprire "nuove strade" percorribili nuove modalita di esercizio del patere ecclesiale, che favoriscano davvero la realizzazione concreta di nuovi modi di incontrarsi e di "essere Chiesa" nel mondo contemporaneo. |
