This paper focuses on heresy as the counterpart of faith, establishing citeria to accurately classify heresy in contrast to other theological qualifications. Based on these qualifications, subtle distinctions, and theoretical alternatives, this contribution aims to reveal the theological foundations of the Inquisitors' practice in Malta and elsewhere. |
