Summary:The influence of Canon Law on states law : from French revolution to our days · This paper begins by tracing the influence of canon law on civil law systems from the French revolution to present. Having explained how ecclesiastical and state law relate to each other, this article then moves to consider how the former had informed the latter. An explanation about how cooperative church-state system refer to canon law rules is also integrated by way of conclusion.
