Resumo: | "Our diocese recently promulgated norms for the implementation of the apostolic letter, Summorum Pontificum, concerning the extraordinary form of the celebration of the Mass and sacraments. The norms indicate that for liturgical celebrations using the extraordinary form, the function of altar server is reserved to males, whether youth or adults, in accord with the prescripts of the 1962 Roman Missal. Is it true that females are restricted from fulfilling the function of altar server when celebrating the extraordinary form of the Roman rite?" |
