Descrição
Resumo:The missionary nature of the Church according to CIC can. 781 - The first part of the article briefly presents the genesis of the law concerning missions and introduces the reader to an analysis of the textual sources of c. 781. The Conciliar and Magisterial basis of the canon are clarified, beginning with the various pronouncements of the Magisterium before the promulgation of the present Code. Those elements which contributed to the later theological developments are presented. A study of the Decree "Ad Gentes" reveals the Trinitarian dimension of mission, to which the canon refers. This dimension founds the duty and right of all the faithful to participate, thanks to their baptism, in the missionary service of the Church
