Descrição
Resumo:The draft of the church’s first Code of Canon Law began in 1904 from a decision taken by Pope Pius X. Alongside, the Pope asked all bishops to suggest reforms that would be convenient to make to the existing canon law. That same year, chilean bishops sent an extensive report that excelled for its extension and quality among the ones sent by Latin American episco- pates. Are presented the reform suggestions sent from Chile to the process that led to the enactement of the Code of Canon Law one century ago, at the feast of Pentecost of 1917. A fi rst valuation is done.
